WELCOME ABOARD!

136-foot passenger and freight vessel providing service through historic Nootka, Esperanza & Kyuquot Sounds.

Arrangements can be made to drop you off at any convenient destination in Nootka Sound, Esperanza Inlet or Kyuquot Sound.

Single Kayaks (One Way) = $15
Double Kayaks (One Way) = $20

As anyone who has paddled the Nootka Sound & Kyuquot Sounds, will tell you. The M.V.Uchuck III is more than worth the money paid to transport you and your kayaks to and from isolated paddling destinations. Especially if you know what it is like to drive into Fair Harbour or Zeballos in order to get close to Kyuquot Sound.

MV Uchuck III is outfitted to accommodate 100 passengers & 100 tons of freight/cargo. Namely the passengers are sightseers who ride around for days, taking pictures of the scenery & wildlife. Then there are the yakers. The ones with the desire to split from the pack & see what very few ever will. For them there is the opportunity to be dropped off & picked up at various locations along the main route.

Taking a look at Uchucks website will give you alot more info. If you have any questions they or we will do the best to help you out.

One suggestion when planning on taking the Uchuck for transportation of your kayaks is to camp out the night before at one of the nearby campgrounds. This saves alot of potential stress & the area is quite beautiful.

If renting kayaks from either of our shops to do a multiple day trip off the Uchuck, we will offer to supply a roof rack system for your vehicle(with advanced notice). Delivery/pick-up is also an option, however there may be a small fee for doing so (depending on the booking).
