A strong comprehensive overview of the Greenland stroke covering; forward and forward canted stroke, sliding stroke, both high and low braces, also sculling, sweep, draw and rudder strokes, and various stroke combinations. Rock and Roll: Want to learn a storm roll? How about a hand roll? No matter what blade you use, learn to roll from your core. Using a buoyant Greenland blade, like the ancients, offers several advantages to understanding rolling mechanics. Then transfer these new understandings to your own blade, and kayak. Bio: Turner Wilson and Cheri Perry have teamed up (in 2005) to form Kayak Ways to teach Greenland style kayaking. They both attended the Greenland National Kayaking Championships in 2005. Since then they have been traveling and teaching all over the United States at Symposiums like Sea Kayak Georgia’s BCU week and Sweetwater BCU week. They have also taught at Greenland style events including SSTIKS, Delmarva Paddlers Retreat, Michigan Training Camp, Mystic Seaport’s Arctic Boat Weekend and Hudson River Greenlandic Festival.
