Rolling and Bracing – The ultimate self-rescue technique. - $60.00
This course designed to teach the participant the mechanics of the Eskimo roll. At the end of the session we hope to have you rolling. This we cannot guarantee but what we can guarantee is that you will have the understanding and the tools to continue working on your roll. To create a high quality learning environment, class size will be limited to one on one in order to guarantee personal attention to participants.
To take this course, participants must have a good controlled wet exit, be comfortable staying in the kayak while it is upside down and good paddling skills. This is not a course for new or novice paddlers. It is also important when learning to roll to have a good “fit” in you boat. Most boats can be rolled but when learning, you may want to use one of our boats. Masks and nose plugs are also recommended when learning as it will make the experience much more enjoyable. While the pool is relatively warm, wearing a wet suit is also recommended.
